Jimmy knew that tone. There was nothing he could do to stop her.
A swift run up and she leapt!
Jimmy snapped back to reality as the crowd went thunderous. That
incident of the broken road had brought Anju a long way.

It will be twenty five years this August. Twenty five years since they had been classmates and confidantes. Of course, in the past few years, they had gotten together over reunions, organized by well-meaning friends, but hadn’t really explored any feelings because of respective spouses.
All that was over now. Both were single again. Would they reconnect? Would they be able to re ignite that spark? Older, certainly, but were they any wiser? August the 26th.

All that talk of burning bridges made sense now as she looked across the courtroom at the one she had thought of as her life long mate! The agitation in his face made her cringe yet again. It had only been two months since he had set their relationship ablaze with one searing backhand to her face. And for what? After all she had been faithful; he was the one who had a mysterious woman accompanying HIM to court. She looked away “This road is broken” she told herself forget pitying him it is time to move on.
